HB 470 -- MEMORIAL HIGHWAY CO-SPONSORS: Shields, Hegeman COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Transportation by a vote of 18 to 0. This bill names a portion of Interstate Highway 29 in Buchanan County, between Frederick Boulevard on the south and U. S. Highway 69 on the north, as the "Sergeant Robert Kimberling Memorial Highway." FISCAL NOTE: Cost to State Road Fund of $0 to $2,504 in FY 2002, and $0 in FY 2003 and FY 2004. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that naming this highway is fitting for such a hero. Testifying for the bill were Representatives Shields and Hegeman; State Highway Patrol; Department of Conservation; and Missouri State Troopers Association.
