2002, FY 2003, and FY 2004. Expected to exceed $100,000 in any
given fiscal year.
PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the bill is necessary to ensure
that the rapid spread of "ecstasy," which is currently in urban
areas and is spreading elsewhere, is curbed by allowing the law
to incorporate this new drug into existing trafficking statutes.
Testifying for the bill were Representative Jolly; Kansas City
Metropolitan Drug Task Force; and Association of Community Task
Forces (ACT Missouri).
OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
