HB 788 -- MOTORCYCLE FRANCHISE PRACTICES

SPONSOR:  O'Connor

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee
on Motor Vehicle and Traffic Regulations by a vote of 9 to 0.

Currently, both a Motorcycle Franchise Practices Act and a
Motorcycle and All-terrain Vehicle Franchise Practices Act exist
in the statutes.  This bill repeals the Motorcycle Franchise
Practices Act.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the Motorcycle Franchise
Practices Act is no longer needed in statute.

Testifying for the bill was Representative O'Connor.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
