HB 830 -- HOTEL GUEST TAX

CO-SPONSORS:  Phillips, Harding, Shields

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee
on Local Government and Related Matters by a vote of 16 to 0.

This bill increases the allowable transient guest tax in Platte
County from 0.25% to 1%.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill will provide needed
funds for county infrastructure.

Testifying for the bill were Representatives Phillips and
Harding.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
