HB 84 -- RECORDERS OF DEEDS
SPONSOR: Richardson
COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee
on Local Government and Related Matters by a vote of 18 to 0.
This bill requires the county to reimburse the county recorder
for attending training sessions. Under current law, the
reimbursement is discretionary.
FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds.
PROPONENTS: Supporters say that counties already reimburse for
training. The state requires this training, and the state
should pay for it.
Testifying for the bill were Representative Richardson; and
Recorders Association of Missouri.
OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
