SB 252 -- CONVEYANCE IN NEWTON COUNTY

SPONSOR:  Singleton (Surface)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee
on Correctional and State Institutions by a vote of 13 to 0.

This bill allows the Missouri National Guard and the City of
Joplin to convey certain property to each other.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill would allow the City
of Joplin and the National Guard to exchange equal-sized parcels
of property.

Testifying for the bill was Senator Singleton.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
