SB 442 -- SPECIAL LICENSE PLATE

SPONSOR:  Caskey (O'Connor)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee
on Motor Vehicle and Traffic Regulations by a vote of 9 to 0.

This bill allows for special license plates for the Safari Club
International.

To obtain the special plate, individuals must get an emblem-use
authorization statement from the Safari Club International ($25
fee) and present the statement to the Department of Revenue at
the time of registration.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say the bill allows people to obtain the
special license plate.

Testifying for the bill was Representative O'Connor.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
