HB 112 -- St. Louis City School Board Co-Sponsors: Boykins, Walton, Wilson (42), Brooks, Coleman, Johnson (61) This bill revises certain qualifications and procedures for election to the school board in the St. Louis City School District. Residency in the subdistrict from which a member is elected is required. The bill clarifies that a qualified resident of the subdistrict will be appointed by the mayor to fill any vacancy. The bill establishes that the election scheduled for 2001 will fill positions for the even-numbered subdistricts and the 2003 election will fill positions for odd-- numbered subdistricts.
