HB 124 -- Glass Containers

This bill prohibits the possession of glass food or beverage
containers within 50 feet of a navigable waterway, except in
designated camps and picnic areas or in vehicles on designated
roads and parking areas.  Violators will be issued warnings from
January 1 to December 31, 2002; thereafter violations are a
class C misdemeanor.  On-duty public officials, people on
private lands, and individuals with permits specifically
authorizing use of glass containers are exempt.

The bill has an effective date of January 1, 2002.
