HB 278 -- Methamphetamine Offenses

Co-Sponsors:  Myers, Black, King, Luetkemeyer, Legan

This bill establishes:  a minimum prison term, as defined in the
bill, of not less than 3 years for the manufacture of
methamphetamine; a minimum prison term of not less than 5 years
for prior methamphetamine offenders, as defined in the bill; and
a minimum prison term of not less than 10 years for persistent
methamphetamine offenders, as defined in the bill.  The bill
also prohibits persons given the minimum prison terms for
methamphetamine offenses from being granted suspended
impositions of sentence.

The bill has penalty provisions.
