HB 304 -- Fire Protection District Boards

This bill requires the circuit court in St. Louis County to
establish subdistricts in the fire protection districts in
Moline Acres and Black Jack.  The number of subdistricts must be
equal to the number of board members allowed to serve in the
district.  Procedures are outlined for the election of the
subdistrict board members.

The bill also requires a vacancy in any fire protection district
to be filled by appointment.  Under current law, if only 2 board
members remain on a board, a vacancy must be filled by the
circuit court of the county in which all or a majority of the
district lies.
