HB 449 -- Motor Vehicle Financial Responsibility

This bill requires uninsured drivers to give a security deposit
to the Department of Revenue to cover any amount of property
damages caused by their auto accidents.  Current law requires a
deposit only when the property damage is more than $500.  The
bill also includes in these damages the cost of a deductible
when an insured motorist makes a claim on an accident caused by
an uninsured motorist.
