HB 564 -- Trafficking in Human Fetal Parts

Co-Sponsors:  Barry, Berkowitz, Gratz

This bill makes any person guilty of a class A misdemeanor for
transferring fetal parts without disclosing information about
the transfer to the Department of Health, including any valuable
consideration received.  Disclosure of the contents of the
transfer must also be made to a common carrier or delivery
service.  The bill makes exceptions for transfers of fetal
tissue samples for medical testing by a licensed pathologist or
for burial and cremation with no valuable consideration provided.
