HB 71 -- Transportation Assistance for the Elderly and
Handicapped

Sponsor:  Scheve

This bill requires the Department of Transportation, subject to
appropriation, to provide financial assistance to not-for-profit
organizations providing transportation services to the elderly
and handicapped.  The assistance is intended to help with rising
costs of gasoline and is to be earmarked for gasoline costs or
for mileage reimbursement for volunteers who deliver meals.
