HB 805 -- Temporary Instruction Permit Co-Sponsors: Mayer, Richardson Current law requires parents to provide a minimum of 20 hours of driver training in order for their child to obtain a temporary instruction permit and intermediate driver's license. This bill also gives instructors of persons enrolled in a federal residential job training program the authority to sign the application for a temporary instruction permit stating the applicant will receive 20 hours behind-the-wheel driving instruction. The bill clarifies that any person who has a temporary instruction permit and is a participant in a federal residential job training program may operate a motor vehicle accompanied by a driver training instructor.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
