HB 989 -- Unemployment Compensation

This bill makes permanently laid off employees of certain Kansas
City steel manufacturers and their Kansas City vendors eligible
for extra unemployment compensation if they meet the
requirements set forth in the bill.

The bill has an emergency clause.
