HJR 22 -- Limit on Tax and Fee Increases

This proposed amendment to the Missouri Constitution will
require any tax or fee increase, regardless of the size, to be
approved by the voters of this state prior to implementation.
Currently, the constitution requires any increase in taxes or
fees that is projected to produce revenues that exceed the
lesser of $50 million or 1% of total state revenues during any
one year to be approved by the voters.
