SCS HB 212 -- INSURANCE

This bill allows the Department of Insurance to approve a merger
between insurance companies if the director of the department is
satisfied that the proposed merger was properly approved after
notice, as required by the articles and bylaws of the
companies.  The bill also removes the requirement that notice be
mailed to each subscriber prior to any merger between 2 or more
domestic reciprocal exchanges or interinsurers.
