AN ACT
To amend chapter 207, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to financial assistance for food pantries.
Section A. Chapter 207, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 207.155, to read as follows:
207.155. The division of family services may, subject to appropriation, provide financial assistance to local
not-for-profit food pantries operating throughout the state which distribute federally donated agriculture
commodities in addition to nonfederal food products. Such financial assistance shall be used for fees, if
any, assessed for nonfederal food products which those food pantries receive from their affiliate food bank.
In absence of such fees, financial assistance shall be used for food pantry receipt, storage and distribution
of nonfederal food products. Such financial assistance shall be apportioned in proportion to the number of
households served within the service area of the food pantry, with those food pantries serving the highest
percentage of households receiving the largest apportionment.
