AN ACT

To amend chapter 198, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the employment of food services directors in facilities licensed by the division of aging.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

Section A. Chapter 198, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 198.031, to read as follows:

198.031. 1. All facilities defined in section 198.006 and all adult day care programs established pursuant to section 660.400, RSMo, that are licensed by the division of aging and provide food services shall employ a food services director who is certified in food safety by an accredited program, and who is a certified dietary manager (CDM) and a certified food protection professional (CFPP).

2. All long-term care facilities licensed by the division of aging shall employ a registered dietician on a consulting basis to perform a minimum of eight hours of dietary consultation in the facility each month. Any work performed by the registered dietician outside of the facility shall not count towards the eight-hour minimum requirement.
