AN ACT

To amend chapter 217, RSMo, relating to the department of corrections by adding thereto one new section relating to the housing of offenders.



Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

Section A. Chapter 217, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 217.341, to read as follows:

217.341. The department shall not incarcerate any offender convicted of a violent offense in the same cell as a nonviolent offender.
