AN ACT
To amend chapter 105, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to qualifications of public officers of whom a bond is required.
Section A. Chapter 105, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 105.1230, to read as follows:
105.1230. Any person seeking an elective public office of this state, or any political subdivision of this state, for
which the posting of a bond is required shall, at the time such person submits his or her name as a candidate for
such office with the secretary of state or the election authority, show proof to the secretary of state or the election
authority, as the case may be, that he or she will be able to obtain the bond required of such office in the event that
such person is elected to such office. In the event that the person is unable to show proof of his or her ability to
obtain the requisite bond, that person shall not be allowed to file for the office in question.
