AN ACT
To amend chapter 620, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to economic development.
Section A. Chapter 620, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 620.1650, to read as follows:
620.1650. Any owner or operator of a steel manufacturing facility and natural resource mining facility and related
facilities which makes a business decision to discontinue the operation of its facility or facilities shall notify the
director of the department of economic development, within thirty days of the business decision, of the business
decision to discontinue such operation. The director shall take reasonable measures, upon receipt of the notice
required pursuant to this section, to notify any potential buyer of the availability and condition of such facility or
facilities. Compliance with the requirements of this section shall be met by the owner or operator of the facility or
facilities before receiving any tax credit or other tax benefit from the state.
