AN ACT

To repeal section 188.205, RSMo 2000, and to enact in lieu thereof one new section relating to the use of state or federal funds.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

Section A. Section 188.205, RSMo 2000, is repealed and one new section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 188.205, to read as follows:

188.205. It shall be unlawful for any [public] state or federal funds, from any source whatsoever, to be expended for:

(1) The purpose of performing or assisting an abortion, not necessary to save the life of the mother, or for the purpose of encouraging or counseling a woman to have an abortion not necessary to save her life;

(2) Abortion services; or

(3) Human fetal tissue research.
