HB 1811 -- CONVEYANCE IN ST. LOUIS CITY

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Municipal Corporations by a vote of 9 to 0.

This bill authorizes the public sale of state property located
within the City of St. Louis known as the Hubert Wheeler State
School.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters state that significant capital outlays
would be needed to convert the Hubert Wheeler State School
building into office space.  The Office of Administration no
longer needs to maintain control of the building and the adjacent
property.  Remediation of environmental concerns on the property
has been completed.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Gambaro; and Office
of Administration.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
