HB 1953 -- DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH ADVISORY COMMITTEES

CO-SPONSORS:  Van Zandt, Cierpiot, Riback Wilson (25), Green

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Budget by a vote of 26 to 0.

This bill makes reimbursement of actual and necessary expenses
for members of the Department of Health and Senior Services'
advisory committees subject to appropriations.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.  Subject to
appropriations.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill provides consistency
among citizens advisory committees regarding expense
reimbursement and allows greater oversight by the House Budget
Committee and the Senate Appropriation Committee.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Riback Wilson (25).

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
