HB 1129 -- Sports and Community Facilities Improvement

This bill allows the General Assembly to appropriate up to $7
million for each individual sports stadium that is under the
jurisdiction of certain county sports complex authorities.
Moneys will be deposited with each convention and sports complex
fund in Kansas City as well as any such funds that exist in
certain other first classification counties, with the exception
of St. Louis County.

These funds will not be appropriated until after the Kansas and
Missouri Metropolitan Culture District Retail Sales Tax is
renewed or extended, nor will they be appropriated for the
benefit of a sports stadium until after the lease agreement for
the use of such a stadium has been renewed or extended.
