Summary of the Introduced Bill

HB 1261 -- Brush Control Along County Roads

Sponsor: Hohulin

Current law requires persons owning land in any county with a
township form of government located north of the Missouri River
and having no portion of the county east of U.S. Highway 63, upon
a favorable vote in a countywide election, to control brush
growing on their property if the property is designated a county
right-of-way or easement and is adjacent to any county road.
This bill repeals geographic qualifiers and voter approval for
land owners to be required to control brush growing on their
property.
