HB 1540 -- Telemarketing No-Call List

This bill revises the telemarketing no-call law to include calls
from a candidate for public office in the definition of
"telephone solicitation," thereby prohibiting these calls from
being made to telephone numbers on the no-call list.

The bill also removes the exclusion from no-call provisions of
persons responding to a referral, persons working out of their
homes, or persons licensed by the state to do business attempting
to set appointments within the state or in contiguous counties.
