HB 1598 -- Licensure of Motor Vehicle Dealers

This bill requires that business signs for certain motor vehicle
dealers contain the name of the dealership by which the business
is known to the public.  This name does not need to be identical
to the name appearing on the dealership's license so long as the
name is registered as a fictitious name with the Secretary of
State and a copy the registration is provided to the Department
of Revenue.

The bill also defines a new class of dealer to replace motorcycle
dealers called "Powersport Dealer."  A powersport dealer is one
who sells primarily motor vehicles including but not limited to
motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, and personal watercraft.
