HB 1955 -- Victims' Rights

Co-Sponsors:  Hilgemann, Carnahan, Hosmer, Villa, Daus

This bill allows neighborhood groups, community groups, and local
social service agencies to have a representative present at
sentencing hearings for felony drug offenses.  The representative
has the right to present a community impact statement about the
effect of the drug offense on the community.  The representative
can make recommendations about sentencing, including community
service.
