HB 1996 -- Purchase of Liquor by a Minor Co-Sponsors: Dempsey, Portwood, Holt, Shoemaker (8) Currently, persons under the age of 21 who use false identification to purchase alcohol are guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to a $500 fine for each offense. This bill removes the provision that the fine is applicable for each offense and also requires the individual's driver's license to be revoked for one year for a first offense. For second and subsequent offenses, the individual is guilty of a misdemeanor, subject to a $1,000 fine for each offense, and has his or her driver's license revoked for one year.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
