HB 2208 -- Telecommunity Centers

Co-Sponsors:  Bland, Abel, Boucher, Troupe

This bill permits each public four-year institution of higher
education and each public community college to establish a
telecommunity center to provide opportunities for computer
literacy to residents of the community.  Institutions may provide
staffing within existing revenues.  Senior level undergraduates
and graduate students may receive course credit for providing
technical assistance.  Institutions must establish policies to
ensure students are afforded necessary access to technology
resources.
