HJR 53 -- General Assembly

This proposed constitutional amendment shortens regular sessions
of the General Assembly by changing the starting date from the
first Wednesday after the first Monday in January to the first
Wednesday after the first Monday in February.  The earliest date
for the prefiling of bills is changed from the first day of
December to the first day of January.

The Missouri Citizen's Commission on Compensation for Elected
Officials is required to reduce compensation for members of the
General Assembly in proportion to the shorter regular sessions.
