AN ACT

To amend chapter 217, RSMo, relating to the crime of offender sexual abuse, by adding thereto one new section, with penalty provisions.



Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

Section A. Chapter 217, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 217.406, to read as follows:

217.406. 1. An employee of the department of corrections commits the crime of offender sexual abuse if the employee has sexual intercourse, deviate sexual intercourse or sexual contact, as those terms are defined in section 566.010, RSMo, with an offender.

2. Offender sexual abuse is a class C felony.
