AN ACT
To amend chapter 160, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to schools that participate in activities associations.
Section A. Chapter 160, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 160.1000, to read as follows:
160.1000. 1. No public or private school shall become a member of or retain membership in any statewide activities association that fails to comply with chapter 610, RSMo, or fails to allow students the opportunity to be represented by counsel or any other person of the student's or student's parents' or guardians' choosing at any hearing or meeting of the association at which a student's eligibility to participate in any athletic or other activity is at issue.
2. The records and meetings of any association described in subsection 1 of this section are subject to chapter 610,
RSMo, and all revenues derived from dues paying public or private schools and expenditures related to such
revenues shall be considered an open record for the purposes of chapter 610, RSMo.
