Charge:

The House Interim Committee on the Prevention of Child Abduction and Kidnapping is charged with reviewing current procedures for preventing and locating missing children due to abduction and kidnapping. The Committee shall study the implementation of an integrated statewide system, commonly known as the AMBER (America's Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response) Plan, for the successful return of missing children due to abduction and kidnapping and the immediate apprehension of the suspect. The Committee shall receive testimony from the Missouri Attorney General, local law enforcement agencies, missing and exploited children organizations, emergency alert systems, electronic media outlets, and other individuals and organizations the Committee deems appropriate.
