Charge:

The Joint Legislative Committee on Utility Regulation and Infrastructure Investment is charged pursuant to Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 57 to conduct an in-depth study of the utility regulation process in Missouri and a comparison with other states. The Committee is further charged to study how the utility regulation process and its infrastructure can be more efficient and effective. The Committee may receive testimony from the Missouri Public Service Commission, the Department of Economic Development, Missouri Office of Public Counsel, political subdivisions, energy and water utilities, consumer groups, and other individuals and organizations the Committee deems appropriate.
