REP. BILL GRATZ

91st General Assembly

 

 

Rep. Bill Gratz, a Democrat, represents part of Cole County (District 113) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

 

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Gratz is a real estate broker, auctioneer and farmer. He was honorably discharged from the Army Reserve as a staff sergeant.

 

Rep. Gratz is a member of the following organizations: St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville; Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce; Missouri and National Association of Realtors; Cole County Farm Bureau; Lions Club; American Legion; Fraternal Order of Eagles; Central Missouri Home Builders; Cole County Democratic Club; Knights of Columbus; Ducks Unlimited and National Rifle Association.

 

Rep. Gratz received the Ducks Unlimited Conservation Service Award for Outstanding Contributions; the Home Builders Association of Missouri 2002 Distinguished Legislative Service Award; the Missouri Chamber of Commerce Spirit of Enterprise award in 1995; the Associated Industries of Missouri, Voice of Missouri Business award in 1997; the National Federation of Independent Business, Guardian of Business award; the Missouri Farm Bureau, Friend of Agriculture award and the Christian Coalition award for support of the unborn. He is also a 2001 graduate of Leadership Missouri.

 

Rep. Gratz is a graduate of Helias High School, Capital Business College, Weaver School of Real Estate and Reisch Auctioneering College.

 

Born August 31, 1949, in Tuscumbia, Rep. Gratz currently resides in Wardsville with his wife, Nancy Kay Schnieders. They have three children, Craig William, Kimberly Rene and Kristi Lynn, three grandsons, Tyler William, Logan Craig and Cole Robert; and one granddaughter, Kaitlyn Renae.
