HB 340 -- EMERGENCY PERSONNEL

CO-SPONSORS:  Boykins, Hilgemann, Jones, Johnson (61), Hubbard,
El-Amin, Hoskins

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass" by the Special Committee on
Urban Issues by a vote of 11 to 0.

This bill adds the City of St. Louis to the list of counties
where persons can be licensed as emergency medical
technicians-intermediate (EMT-I).

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that this is a good bill because it
will allow St. Louis to have intermediate emergency medical
technicians.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Boykins.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
