HB 376 -- COUNTY CORONERS

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Health Care Policy by a vote of 14 to 0.

This bill changes the organization that certifies a deputy
coroner from the County Officials Training Commission to the
Missouri Coroners and Medical Examiners Association.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill makes a technical
correction by revising the statutes to include the correct
certifying organization for deputy county coroners.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Cooper (120); and
Missouri Coroners and Medical Examiners Association.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee
