HJR 7 -- FISHING AND HUNTING

CO-SPONSORS:  Whorton, Johnson (90), Sager, Townley, Kuessner,
Kelly (36)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass" by the Committee on
Conservation and Natural Resources by a vote of 20 to 0.

This proposed constitutional amendment preserves the right to
hunt, fish, and harvest game.

FISCAL NOTE:  Cost to General Revenue Fund of $0 in FY 2004,
$34,850 in FY 2005, and $0 in FY 2006.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the resolution will ensure that
the right to fish and hunt is preserved for future generations.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Whorton; and Missouri
Votes Conservation.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
