HB 188 -- Methamphetamine Relief Task Force

This bill establishes the Missouri Sheriff Methamphetamine Relief
Task Force (MoSMART), which will consist of five sheriffs
appointed by the Governor.  The task force will administer a
special fund, also created in the bill, which will provide grant
money to sheriff's departments that are participating in a
multi-jurisdictional drug task force and to sheriff's departments
in counties that have been designated as high drug trafficking
areas by the federal Office of National Drug Control Policy.
MoSMART will be funded by federal grants and state
appropriations.  The Department of Public Safety will monitor the
granting process.
