HB 302 -- Statewide Crime Laboratory System

Co-Sponsors:  Morris, Kuessner, Holand, Moore, Ransdall, Bringer

This bill establishes the Statewide Crime Laboratory System, a
network of the state's crime labs that can assist local law
enforcement in processing evidence in criminal cases.  The entity
will consist of the State Highway Patrol Crime Laboratory; the
Southeast Missouri Regional Crime Lab; the Missouri Southern
State College Police Academy Regional Crime Lab; and the crime
labs of the law enforcement entities in the City of St. Louis,
St. Louis County, Kansas City, and Springfield.  The entity will
also coordinate funding between federal, state, regional, and
local agencies.
