HB 88 -- Highways and Transportation Fund

This bill creates a subaccount within the Highways and
Transportation Department Fund for the purpose of paying a $75
fee to any tow truck service which removes an abandoned vehicle
from a roadway at the request of a law enforcement agency.

To be eligible for this fee, the tow operator must have held the
vehicle for at least 30 days.  If the tow operator has received
this fee and obtains title and sells the vehicle, the tow
operator must return the $75 fee along with a $25 service fee to
the subaccount.  The tow operator may retain the remainder of the
proceeds from the sale.
