AN ACT

To repeal section 78.590, RSMo, and to enact in lieu thereof one new section relating to salary of council members in certain cities.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Section 78.590, RSMo, is repealed and one new section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 78.590, to read as follows:

            78.590. Regular meetings of the council shall be held at least once every month and special meetings may be called by the mayor at [his] the mayor's own instance or upon written application of two members of the council. Each [councilman] council member shall receive a salary [not exceeding one hundred dollars a year] as determined by ordinance of the council, payable quarterly.
