HB 1445 -- CONVEYANCE IN STODDARD COUNTY

SPONSOR:  Mayer

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Local Government by a vote of 14 to 0.

This bill authorizes the Governor to convey the National Guard
Armory located in Stoddard County to the City of Dexter.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2005, FY 2006, and
FY 2007.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the building will be declared as
excessive property by the state, and the City of Dexter would
like to use it as a recreational center.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Mayer.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
