HB 1454 -- CONVEYANCE IN PEMISCOT COUNTY

SPONSOR:  Swinger

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Local Government by a vote of 16 to 0.

This bill authorizes the Governor to convey the National Guard
Armory located in Pemiscot County to the City of Caruthersville.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2005, FY 2006, and
FY 2007.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the state no longer has a need
for this building.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Swinger.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
