HCS HB 1471 -- CONVEYANCE IN JACKSON COUNTY

SPONSOR:  Johnson, 47 (Brooks)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Local Government by a vote of 16 to 0.

This substitute authorizes the Governor to convey the Felix
Building located in Jackson County to the Truman Medical Center.

FISCAL NOTE:  Estimated Income on General Revenue Fund of Less
than $1,000,000 in FY 2005, $0 in FY 2006, and $0 in FY 2007.  No
impact on Other State Funds in FY 2005, FY 2006, and FY 2007.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the state no longer needs this
building.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Brooks; and Truman
Medical Center.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
