HB 1612 -- CONVEYANCE IN MARION COUNTY

SPONSOR:  Bringer

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Local Government by a vote of 17 to 0.

This bill authorizes the Governor to convey certain state
property located in Marion County to the City of Hannibal.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2005, FY 2006, and
FY 2007.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that this land is near the old
National Guard Armory building and is no longer needed by the
state.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Bringer.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
